Oliver Twist is a lab mix puppy.  Mixed with what you might ask.  We think it could be Greyhound, but we are open to other suggestions since he was found as a stray.  We don't know anything about his history, but we do know that he is great with other dogs and people.

Foster update 10/10: Well i took Oliver home last night (along with 5 other dogs) for an adoption event. Oliver was excellent with all the dog and cats in my home. He didn't have one accident in the home and slept the entire night in my bed without a peep! He is an energenic dog and loved running at the dog park. He is a bit of a jumper so i won't recommend very young children. In play he can be a little mouthy but nothing that can't be changed with training and with age! Over all this is a very loving dog whom basically seems to fit in, in most any type of home! This guy is looking for an excellent home is that yours?

He's not sure of dogs, but not aggressive towards them in any way.  He was GREAT at the vet, allowed the doctor to examine him, handle and vaccinate with a whimper or growl. He is gentle, obedient and smart!  Easy on the leash and good in a crate.  What can we say, he even picked out his own bandana (which he is holding in his mouth in his photos)!

He's had a rough beginning to his life, so let's find him that perfect forever home.

*** According to www.dogbreedinfo.com, the Labrador Retriever is a loving, affectionate, lovable, patient dog. Once known as the "St John's Dogs," the Labrador Retriever is one of the most popular breeds in the United States. Originally from Newfoundland, Canada the Labrador was trained to jump overboard into the icy waters to haul fisherman's nets to shore. Specimens were brought to England in the 1800's by English ships coming from Labrador, where the dog's fine retrieving instincts were honed and developed. One of the best family dogs and canine companions because of their gentle, loving disposition, the highly trainable Labrador also excels in drug detection, as a guide for the blind, and service dog for the disabled. The breed is also an outstanding obedience and field trial competitor. Highly intelligent, loyal, willing, and high-spirited. Lively and good-natured, they love to play, especially in water - for they love to swim. They have an excellent, reliable, temperament and are friendly, superb with children and equable with other dogs. They crave human attention and need to feel as though they are part of the family. Labs are easily trained. These dogs are watchdogs, not guard dogs, although some have been known to guard. They have a life expectancy of 10-12 years.
